Water broke?!

Third pregnancy here, and my water didn’t break with either of my previous babies so I’m looking for advice. Just wondering what it was like for you mommas and how long after your water broke did contractions start, if at all? My partner and I were intimate about 40 minutes ago, and I know I didn’t pee because I had just gone. Called l&d and they said not to come in unless contractions are 5 minutes apart but we’re an hour away from the hospital and both of my previous deliveries were very fast. I’m 37 weeks exactly today.
