Do you change any thing?

Hi there!

I'm 31 and ttc for our first. Every month I get that BFN. I won't lie it gets harder and harder to do this. BUT I was wondering for you ladies change any thing when you get yet another bfn?

I try and make a health change - drink more water, different vitamins - this month I'll try harder to quit smoking. Is it just me who does this? What do you do?

Just have sex every other day from CD 8 to CD 20 if u have a regular cycle. If your cycles are irregular keep having sex every other day until a few days before u think u might start your period. Opks eventually stressed me and made me anxious especially when I was hitting my peak on different days. I was getting positives anywhere from cd 15-19 so I stopped using them. It makes u not even really think about the tww.

I just keep using OPKs to track ovulation, bbt, taking prenatals and timing out BD. If you’re a relatively healthy person that’s all it really takes. But yes, if you’re a smoker you should definitely stop. Drinking alcohol is fine in moderation - my OB said to have 1-2 drinks a sitting so basically no more binge drinking if that’s you’re thing! Caffeine is fine - no more than 200mgs a day (2 cups of coffee).

I do things you do. I cut down my caffeine intake(from 3-4 large espresso-strong to 2-3 small normal cups a day), also nearly no alcohol for me. We're at a fertility clinic for unexplained infertility and two different doctors told us other than taking vitamins, folic acid and reducing caffeine/alcohol we should live a normal, healthy life to not put further stress on us.

Are you timing BD or not?

Listen to the Podcast “As A Woman” with Dr. Natalie Crawford. She talks about environmental toxins in an episode called “Naturally Infertile.” She’s a fertility doc, but it will give you lots of info while you continue to TTC if it hasn’t been a year yet. Also, if your cycle isn’t regular you can definitely go sooner.

My dr suggested I go in for testing in about 2 months. Which if fine but I think I would rather know now if there Is some thing wrong. Thanks for the tip on the podcast I'll give it a listen! Thank you!
