When should I register for the baby shower?

I’m currently 16 weeks along and will be having my shower when I’m 30 weeks along (had to make it a little early because of the holidays around that time), but I have NO idea where and when to begin creating a registry.

😂 I made a private wishlist of stuff I wanted from amazon while doing fertility treatments then when I got the two lines I made a Babylist registry. I like how you can use a google search obscure items to find what you’re looking for (“pink castle nightlight”) and add even if it’s not on one of the suggested stores. I also registered at other stores in person for free welcome bags!)

You might as well get started if you are so inclined. You can always set it to “private” until it’s finished. I used mine as a way to remember what I researched and then pared it down closer to when my invitations were sent out.

People are often last minute shoppers, so put stuff on your registry that they can pick up in a store (literally on the way to the shower 😂). 
Registries like babylist are nice, but more annoying than being able to print one out at the front of the store. People won’t mess with them online and mark stuff as reserved which is annoying. 
I think having a Target/Walmart one and then going a week before to make sure stuff is up to date and in stock makes it more likely that you’ll get stuff from the registry!

Start now, then you have time to narrow it down to what you really want/need or add things you hadn’t previously thought of. Most places to make a registry will have a kind of checklist to give you an idea of what to expect

Start now.  It took me a long time to be honest. I didnt just want cutsie things. I did a lot of research on what was right for us.
