Convertible car seats??

FTM here, when can our little ones switch over to a convertible car seat? My baby HATES the car seat with a passion, He will start crying the minute I put him in and won’t stop till I take him out.. I’m just really hoping he will out grow it or the switch will help it get better. TIA❤️❤️

I switch when they have reached the weight or height limit of the infant car seat.

We got the grace 4ever for my car and use his bucket seat in my husbands truck still ☺️ he actually prefers the 4ever because it allows him to look around! And it seems comfier. It goes from something crazy like 4-120 lbs!

I switch when my kids get too heavy to carry the infant bucket seat... so at 17.5lbs it’ll be pretty soon lol. My daughter was 6 months and 20lbs when I switched her and that’s the limit on the bucket seat anyway. They make convertibles for smaller kids that recline back but I like my babies to have really good head and neck control as it’s still more upright than a bucket and they tend to sleep in the car.

We have already switched. He hated his car seat and now he loves car rides! After 3 months of dealing with him screaming the whole car ride we gave it a try and it’s a different world lol

Whenever you want to.  I personally wait until they are so big that it is hard to carry the infant one.  Also when they can sit up pretty strong.  For instance going to the grocery store or target, still like the infant seat to put in the cart.  So for me prob 7 mo or so.
