When to install car seat base?

I’m going to be 34 weeks this Thursday. Was thinking about installing it maybe this weekend? Anyone have any suggestions on when to install it? Just the base, not the whole thing.

Whenever,  id say the sooner the better. Better to be prepared rather then rushing to do it if you happen to go into labour early 🤷

I'm 33 weeks tomorrow and we just installed ours yesterday. I was also in the hospital for possible preterm labor last week so that kinda pushed us to get it done, too. I say you'd rather be safe than sorry!

I’m just having my husband throw it in when he’s bring the car up to pick us up , this is baby number 2 so we got it down to only a few minutes

Whenever you want younger child goes behind the passenger older child behind driver. Our base is in the boot and car seat and hospital bag are ready to grab. Im 32 weeks with #2. Our daughter was born at 35/5 so we’re not taking any chances this time.

With my first I installed the carseat before baby's arrival then went to the local police station and made sure it was installed correctly. (They have a car seat installation event every Tuesday.)

When I’m in the hospital. But we have the state fair in town so people are stupid and my dr is 35 mins away so I don’t want to chance an accident but that’s me with my daughter we waited until 37 weeks

I had a surprise induction with my first. I just had him install it before we left the hospital. When he ran home to shower and change after the birth, he installed it and came back.
