Currently my car is broke and has been for the whole summer. My dad can not figure out what it is and we have already replaced countless parts on it. My job revolves around my car, so no car no work. Luckily we were able to switch around everyone’s car situation to put me in a car for the time being. I’m driving my step moms car, she is driving my dads truck, and my dad is driving my car; he works fire department every two days and the station is close to home so it’s easiest for him to use the broken car. Anyways since the car he is using is broken he’s always taking the car I’m in to town. Let me just say I am very thankful for being in a car and whatnot, but I can not afford to pay for everyone’s gas. Town is about 25 minutes away and downtown is about 30. I don’t have enough money for both him and I to be running back and forth from town all the time. Not to mention my job treats me like shit, I have no work to do which results in short hours, I get paid shit, and I can’t find another job right now; this job works perfectly with my school schedule for the upcoming semester and it’s flexible which is great for my classes. I got a shit paycheck this week and barely made anything. When my car first broke I had literally just filled it up that day and then when I got my step moms car I had to fill that up too because she always leaves her car on absolute empty. Then she started driving it. I had about 3/4 tank of gas in there and she drove it to about 1/4 because she was going back and forth to town all day and then went to my dads station. Then my dad started driving it to town a few times each week. I put away $120 for gas but used to only end up using $80 for two weeks if that, so I would have some extra money saved in case I ran out of money that week. Well now I’m spending $120 in gas if not more for two weeks. I’m just tired of being broke and having to save my whole paycheck for gas. I only made $220 for these next to weeks so gas money is a little over half of that if not more. I don’t know if I’m being rude or expecting too much but every time I would use someone’s car I would put some gas in it.
