Would you consider having a baby but live in a seperate house to OH?

I live with my DD (7❤️) 
And my OH of 3 years lives the other side of town- he's not her father.

We would love to have a baby together but we are not sure that we would all live together, Obviously we would spend lots of time all together at one house or the other. And at the beginning every night day..

I think it might be a good way to keep some independence, and but my friend thinks Im bonkers to be considering this.

What do you think... ?

I don't understand.  If you have not made a commitment to each other and don't  want to be one family why you would have a child together?

I think it's selfish. Children do best with a solid stable environment, what you described is confusing to a child. If you aren't ready to commit and live together, then you aren't ready for a child.

I thinks it's a brilliant idea. We strive to have the white picket fence but in the end we end up hating the way a person chews, talks and walks. Co-inhabiting is hard and can kill the love between two people. If you were financially stable to have your own space and still be committed  to each other that's bad ass... 👍🏻👍🏻

Honestly I will wait until you guys live together. I unexpectedly got pregnant and we don't live together because we finallcally couldn't and it's so hard. He can only come over two times a week.

We do have a commited loving relationship. And would be a family. Just not in the 'usual' way...

But we have seperate lives too. And I think the baby would know that...

Military families don't all live together all the time...

I don't know... But I think that my reaction your responses have made it clearer to me...
