Getting 11 month old off bottle?

Question

Does anyone have any tips on getting baby off bottle? Hes 11 months and has 6 teeth. Ive tried sippys, straws and cups. He doesnt hold his bottle either. He just gets mad and yeets anything I give him including his bottle if I try to get him to hold it. He does willingly drink out of my bottled water but doesnt really swallow. Any tips appreciated.

I had to try about 5-6 different sippy cups before I found one my guy likes. When I first gave him a cup I left it empty so he could ‘play’ with it and then filled it with water. He drinks out of it whenever he is thirsty now. It took some time honestly but we started early because I feared it would take a while. We started at probably 6-7 months. We haven’t stripped away the bottle completely. He still gets a nighttime bottle. Don’t know how I’m going to get rid of that one yet 🤷🏻‍♀️

We were gifted a few different sippy cups. We started by offering a sippy cup (with water) during meals and snacks so that I could see which one was easiest for him to maneuver. After a few weeks, we replaced one bottle at a time with a sippy cup. 
He still does two sippy cups + two bottles per day but our pediatrician says they don’t need to be off the bottle until they’re a year old so we still have time. I also know of babies 18 months old who still take a bottle. 🤷🏻‍♀️ My guess is it’s like anything else - it’s not the end of the world if your kiddo is a little behind on the deadline. It won’t make him a worse lawyer when he grows up. 😉👍🏼
