Losing weight

I'm 5'3 and 184 lbs. I want to get down to 160 because I think I look better with just a little extra weight but rn I think I'm too big. Would eating only 1200 calories a day help? Or do I need to eat certain foods (healthy). I know it may be a dumb question but I was wondering if it matters what you eat as long as its 1200 calories a day only. Also I already cut out pop
