Should I start wearing tampons?

I've been wearing pads since I had my first period (I was 11), but now that I'm getting older, they feel more and more like diapers. I wore a tampon today, and it was uncomfortable at first, but after about half and hour or so, I couldn't feel it. I'm thinking about making the switch, but I need some honest persuasion.

It's up to you but now that I'm older(23) I wish that when I switched to tampons someone told me about menstrual cups bcuz it doesnt dry you out, you dont risk TSS, and you don't have to worry about forgetting it's in there(I had a friend who put a tampon in ontop of another one and had to go to the ER).
If you have a good relationship talk to tour parents or your doctor to see what's best for you

I switched to tampons because I felt like I was always dirty and nasty and that people could smell it or see it when I wore pads..... I love tampons but change them every 4 hours or at least I do because it can give you an infection if wore for what it calls for

Whatever you feel comfortable in!! Personally, I wear a tampon with a panty liner

It's up to you but you should wear some backup with a tampon because it's hard to know when they're full and since it's so wasteful and painful even to change it too often sometimes you might leak.i always use a pad and tampon together but if your period is lighter you might be fine with a pantyliner

I love tampons, but I still use pads sometimes when I’m sleeping or when I just don’t feel like wearing a tampon. Just because you start using tampons doesn’t mean you have to abandon pads altogether. Do what you want! I love tampons cause they don’t move around,they’re more comfortable, and I can swim/ work out. You also don’t need to worry about it if you’re wearing tight clothes.
Just my preference though! You do it for you.
