Lip tie?!

Hey all! I think my 4 week old has a lip tie - she has always been unable to latch so I exclusively pump & bottle feed breast milk. She has started clicking a lot while sucking & she leaks milk out everywhere! Anyone have experience with this?

Both of my daughters had lip & tongue ties that interfered with feeding (breast & bottle). We had problems with gas & weight gain until we had them released via laser at the pediatric dentist. If it's causing feeding issues, I'd definitely look into having them released. I went on to ebf my first for 19 months & I'm 11 months into my breastfeeding journey with my youngest. Good luck!

My baby girl had her lip like that and it fixed itself. She just had a very tiny mouth. At first it was very hard to get a latch, but she got around to it ☺️ Didn’t have to get anything clipped

My little girl had lip tie exactly like that. She's now 21 months and it's fixed itself.

Most of the time, if there’s a lip tie, there’s a tongue tie. It’s probably worth getting it looked at.
