Eyebrow hair shedding?

Is it normal for eyebrow hair to shed? One of my front hairs fell off last night and it left a little bald spot :( however when I looked closely at it, there were little tiny hairs that were growing in the area where it fell out. Is this normal????

Hair follicles go through three growth stages. The longest stage is the one with hairs you can easily see. These are the hairs on your head, your arms, eyebrows, lashes, etc. These hairs all grow for a certain amount of time (varies by person and area of body) and then they fall out so the follicle can have a resting period. 
That's also why some people can grow hair down to their butt, while others spend years trying to grow their hair out for it to never go past their shoulders. Some people just have a shorter growth phase.
So yes, to answer your question, that is perfectly normal. Other follicles are starting to grow hairs, while that one begins to take a "rest."
