Is it a parents responsibility to make appointments (doctors/optometrist/dentist) for their teenager?

Im 14 years old and my mom thinks it's my responsibility to make my appointments is it?
my parents never make appointments for me unless it is a doctors appointments so as a result I haven't been to the dentist since I was like 7 years old and had to have a teeth removed despite obviously needing dental work and I didn't get my glasses until last year despite never having had good vision. Is my mom right should I be making my own appointments?

She’s completely in the wrong. I have to make my own appointments now that I’m 18 but I never had to before

You can't drive. So if you did make your own appointments they'd still need to take you. If they make them for you you can pick a day that they don't work. My mom made all mine.

Your mom sounds like she might be struggling with herself, if I’m honest. 
My mom was very depressed when I was growing up, and as a kid she was the worst parent ever. Now, as an adult, she treats my kid sister SO differently than I was raised and isn’t depressed anymore. I’m glad I can see the difference and correlation as an adult so that I can can both better myself and not be resentful of her. 
I would have an honest discussion with her if you feel some type of way about it, and if she doesn’t change, you may have to grow up quicker than most even if it sucks

They should be doing it though I definitely took control of that around 15 just because my mom was bad at it lol. Honestly I’d get the insurance information and just make the appointments yourself while you’re still on their insurance. Really shouldn’t be your responsibility but if they’re not going to do it you mine as well get it taken care of while they’re still paying for it. I didn’t go to the dentist from like 16-20 and had sooo many issues and I had to pay for it because I was an adult obviously but if I just went earlier I wouldn’t have had to deal with it.
