Due date: 8/22 being induced on 8/19 why!?

I’m 38 weeks and 2 days. I am completely normal nothing is going on. I was checked on Monday 8/5 and I am not dilating yet. I’m getting induced on the 19th still not sure why I’m being induced and just not letting it happen on its own. I haven’t had no problems with my pregnancy. It’s my first pregnancy.

You can decline, its your body and no one has a right to force it on you. I think I would only let them induce me if there was a medical problem or I was 2 weeks overdue

Doctors have found that inducing in the 39th week reduces your chances of c-section and it also reduces your risk of high blood pressure disorders. 
I’d talk to your doc about the pros and cons. You can definitely decline the induction.

Ask?? There is absolutely no way you should go in to be induced if you do not know or understand why. If there's no reason, don't do it. They cannot force you to do it if you don't want to

I'm due the 22nd, and they tried to set up and induction for the 19th. I declined as they can't make you do anything, if you're not comfortable then don't do it.

I had to sign a form to be able to be induced- I’ve got several health problems with my pregnancy. Not sure why they wouldn’t let you wait, unless you didn’t want to ?
