How did you guys get your newborn to sleep on their own/on their back? My son will fall asleep in my arms, on someone’s chest but the second we try to lay him down he wakes right up and wants to nurse. It’s a repeating cycle, my husband and I are on completely different schedules so that I can sleep at night between nursing’s and he can sleep during the day. He’s 5 days old, so we’re trying to not give him a pacifier until my mature milk is completely in. But i feel like that’s the only way we’ll be able to get him to sleep comfortably alone so he can soothe himself
