Tubal??

Hello everyone! I have a question for those who are getting their tubes tied. I’m currently 25 weeks and wanted to now when do I have to have the paper signed to get them tied? Thanks in advance!!

I signed mine at my last visit at 25 weeks.  Doctor said he will ask me again periodically just to make sure its still what we want.

I signed mine yesterday at my appointment.  Doctor said my state requires it to be in by 28wks.  I can opt out at birth.

I am getting my only tube removed after my csection, I have had a total of 4 pregnancies, 1st was a miscarriage and had to get a D&C, 2nd was healthy emergency csection birth, 3rd was a miscarriage but it was ectopic pregnancy and it ruptured my tube (I had 5mins to spear, we didn't know) and now my current my 4th. This one is a high risk since the start because of all the history and I ended up testing positive for antigen K and my husband is also positive, so I have to get my blood monitored every month all because of the several blood transfusions I had received from the ectopic pregnancy. So "we" my husband and I decided for my health and well being that I should get my tube removed (at least we know now we can get pregnant with one tube but don't want to go through this again for my mental health). I had my 24 week appt this week and asked when do I sign the paperwork and she said it will be at my next appt, I also had to look at a video and forms explaining how they do it and all of that information they give you to make sure you still want to go with it.
Sorry for the long comment. But I feel I have to explain they reason why we want to go with it. If we want more kids we can always adopt, they need families too.

If you have a preterm labor then it doesn’t matter but normally you signed them within 30days of having baby.

It depends on your insurance and the state you live in. I work for Medicaid and some states require it 6 months before or just 30 days before. You can ask your doctor or simply call your health insurance company.
