How do y’all eat your oatmeal ? And what do you actually call it and where you from? :)

I just made oatmeal for the first time in a while last night... it was very satisfying! I make it like my dad does - milk instead of water, a big spoonful of brown sugar and a cut of butter. Yum!

I make it on the stove top with half unsweetened vanilla almond milk half water, add a bit of cinnamon in at the end. Then I top it with just a bit more almond milk (I don’t like my oatmeal super thick) as well as blueberries and strawberries! Super yummy!

I’m originally from PA, and I just get the packs of oatmeal, dump it in a bowl, and heat up some water in the microwave. Then I just dump the water in as I’m mixing until it’s a little more on the watery side. My husband is originally from Illinois, and he prefers grits, but when he eats oatmeal he uses milk or water, heats it up in the microwave together, and eats it on the clumpier side with some butter in it.

I literally mix scrabbled eggs, bacon and maple oatmeal in a bowl and dig in!!!

Depends on the day at work I have a stash of plain instant oat meal that I mix with hot water then add peanut butter to if I’m hungry after my fruit in the morning 
If I’m at home I like stove top oat meal with milk butter some brown sugar and cinnamon and at the end right before you eat it add another bot of butter and a splash of milk

I love steel cut oats in made in the instant pot. I make a lot and then reheat throughout the week. I add lots of nut milk and whatever fruits or preserves I have around

I prepared what are called ‘overnight oats’ . My fav one so far is the banana bread flavoured oats that I made . Easy too ☺️! It’s rolled oats , cinnamon, ground nutmeg , honey , chia seeds , 2/3 cup milk , sliced bananas, Greek yogurt , and chocolate chips .

Mmm now I’m craving! We do half oats, half Ralson hot cereal, milk not water. Then butter and brown sugar on top! And dip rye toast into it!!! Soooo yummy!

I love oatmeal with milk and brown sugar. Unfortunately, it gives me heartburn so I can’t eat it 😩🤷‍♀️😖
