Is my OBGYN right? CLOMID!

My husband and I have been having unprotected sex since 2016 thats when I got off BC. We started trying the last 5 months. With no luck. We do have a 6 year old that we conceived naturally with no help.
I went to my OBGYN today and she prescribed me Clomid. But I thought that was for people who do not ovulate? I track my ovulation using opk and every month I get a positive one. I have normal CM during my fertile window, I have normal periods. Regular every 28 days.
Should I take the clomid?

This is a question for your doctor but if she gave it to you I’m sure there is a reason.

I ovulate regularly and have never had any issues but we have been TTC #3 for a year now with 1 miscarriage. My doctor just prescribed me Clomid too. It’s not just for people who don’t ovulate. It helps your eggs mature and be ready for ovulation. Is she gonna do an ultrasound and blood work to confirm ovulation also?
My period is due the 15th (hopefully she doesn’t show) but if she does I’ll take Clomid CD 3-7 and then my doctor wants an ultrasound done between CD 11-14 to see how big my follicles are and then bloods on CD 21 to confirm ovulation

Clomid also boots you to ovulate more , which means releases more eggs 😊 .
