Is this a hypertrophic scar?

Today makes 6 weeks since I got an industrial piercing. About a week or two ago it felt great. It had no pain and I thought since there was no pain, I started sleeping on it. Also a few times I’ve had it ripped on. 
It’s small but I don’t want it to get bigger. I love this piercing and it’s not sensitive at all to the touch. 
Does anyone have any recommendations on how to get rid of this bump?

It looks like it. It could just be irritation. Either way I recommend no pull piercing discs. They work great to get rid of bumps and irritation without adding things like tea tree oil that could cause infection.

I had a bad one on my rook piercing (my youngest caught me with a foot while I was changing her)...I mean BAD all you can do is keep cleaning it with either saline solution or a single drop of tea tree oil on it and then leave it alone as much as possible...I was convinced mine would scar pretty bad but nope it's completely healed with not a single mark

Looks like it. It can be caused by irritation so try not to bump it or sleep on it! Keep cleaning with saline and try hot sea seal and water soaks twice a day when cleaning. I also recommend h2ocean spray. I have used it for both my helix and nose and never experienced bumps and I sleep on my helix accidentally a lot and it’s 6 weeks old as well.
