Super long cycles?
Hey everyone!! So in January I started birth control (Lo Loestrin). For mood and side effect reasons I stopped taking it in March/April.
Before starting, I always had a longer cycle (It was probably around 35-37 days, but I thought it was normal). But by the December before I started taking BC, my cycle length was getting to the mid forties. I started the BC for this reason plus irregularities.
After stopping my birth control, my first cycle was only 32 days. I remember thinking it was so early 😂 But since then, its progressively gotten longer again, but stayed in the late 30’s to early 40’s. Which brings us to today... day 56 of my current cycle! 🥵
I am in a long distance relationship and was last sexually active early July. I took a pregnancy test about a week ago and it was negative. I will take another one as soon as I can, but if it’s negative again — what gives?
I just want to know how “normal” it is, I can’t find any sort of information about this length... I guess “stress,” I’ve been in a hard situation regarding said relationship but I don’t know the lengths it would affect it y’know?
The only other thing I’ve read was thyroid issues. My mother has a history of hypothyroidism but she said it never affected her periods — obviously not ruling it out but just confusing 😅
Sorry if this is long and rambly, just definitely worried and confused! Thank you!
