Do you identify as feminist?

The term 'feminist' was first used in a newspaper article in 1895. It was adopted by the women's rights movement as the term 'women's liberationist' had too many negative connotations. In the modern day, feminism has come to fight for the rights of men and the LGBT community. However, it again has negative connotations, mainly due to 'radical feminists', who basically use feminism as an excuse for misandry, and make the rest us look crazy.

Most feminists are definitely not misandrist. That is not what feminism is about. Unfortunately that's a major misconception.

I don't understand why every woman isn't a feminist?

No I don't.  Most people I know who call themselves "feminists" are extremely liberal, anti-male, anti-tradition, radical, etc.......

Do you believe that men and women should be paid the same as men? Then you're a feminist. 
​Do you believe that you, your mother, your female friends, your daughters or your future daughters should be treated with the same respect and equality as men? Then you're a feminist. 
​It has nothing to do with hating men, and if you hate other women, then I honestly don't know what to say to you. Feminism is simply that you have the same belief that all women should be treated with the same equality as men. Which is not the case.

I don't understand why there is an "egalitarian" option. Feminism is advocating for the equality of women to men. Egalitarian is the same thing but with a more generalized name.

I work becaue I have to but I'm truly old school I enjoy cooking for my man and cleaning the house I was raised in a old school black conservative Christian family where women roles are defined as well as men's. Hey I rather was dishes and do laundry then mow the lawn and cut down trees
