Abnormal Pap smear?!

Question

Has anyone had an abnormal pap? I never have! They want to take a biopsy of my cervix because they suspect infection! But all STD test came back negative anyone have this happen before?

I had an abnormal test about 7 years ago, it came back mild dyskaryosis. At the time they weren't testing for HPV only cellular changes.
They gave me smear tests every 3 months until I had 3 normal tests in a row, I was then placed on 1 yearly screening for 3 years, which has now reverted back to usual every 3 years testing.

Yes. In 2017 I had an abnormal pap. They said the cells were between normal to mild dysplasia so they did a colposcopy to make sure it was nothing serious. 
By the time that test was performed (about 2 weeks later) I had moderate dysplasia (CIN II). So they wanted to do a LEEP procedure. We did that about 2 weeks later and those results showed they got it all (Thankfully) but it was CIN III. My abnormal cells were very aggressive and would’ve caused cancer. She said it was a good thing we took all those precautions since we were able to get rid of it all. 
They have these tests for a reason so do what doctor says and it’ll be ok. 
I have had normal paps ever since 😊

The concern would be for HPV or abnormal cervical cells which wouldn’t show up in the blood test.

You might have an infection then.

Hey I’ve never had an abnormal Pap smear but out of curiosity, did you have sex 3 days before testing? My doctor advised me not to because the pressure of sex can make Pap smear test abnormal
