yes, i know they don’t need them - but i have a three month old who has recently just been sucking on his hands and fingers nonstop, anything near his mouth he wants to suck on. but every time i try a pacifier he just gags and can’t seem to get it.

i have four different types, nothing is working. he took a pacifier ONCE and it was for a 12 hour car ride when he was a month old. he never took it before or after that. so i’m mostly trying to use the same pacifier he was able to use then.

any advice? i’ve gotten him to suck for a few seconds prior to tonight’s attempt but nothing. i would really like to get him to be able to use a pacifier because sucking soothes him but he gets frustrated with his hands etc. thank you!
