What did you do first or plan on doing first: potty train or transition to a toddler bed?

Potty training since my girls didn’t start climbing out of their cribs until around 3 years old.

No toddler bed but we transitioned to a twin mattress at 18 months and then at 2 we start potty training. The bed allows them to get up and pee or come tell me on their own at night. Both girls were potty trained within a week of starting.

We transitioned to a toddler bed at 2.5 and he is 3 now. We have just started potty training.

What ever came first my son wasnt resdy for training before i put him into toddler bed

We did toddler bed cuz my boy is a lot bigger than kids his age and he exceeded the weight limit of his convertible crib (50lbs including the weight of the mattress and bedding). It made naps and bedtime a lot easier cuz we could lay with him instead of laying on the floor beside the bed, he was much too long to lay in our lap comfortably by that point. He’s now 2.5, been in a twin bed for a year, and slowly getting ready for potty training.
