Been giving my baby bad formula on accident what shoul I do !?

When I was at the hospital my nurse told me I could premake formula bottles and they wouldn’t go bad until an hour after my baby started drinking it, so shes 6 days old & I’ve been making all her bottles for throughout the night into morning before I lay down & leaving them on my nightstand for when she was up , I just found out they go bad after one hour😭 I am in tears and so scared I feel like shit what do I do😭 my baby seems fine and content no crying or screaming but I’m so worried 😭 they were not kept cold they were on my night stand

It is okay, you can remake formula bottles and put them in the fridge, then you can use a bottle warmer and just check that the milk doesn't get too hot and you can feed, but outside the fridge they go bad within 2 hours

I believe as long as they are kept cold it's fine. My daughter goes to daycare and when she was an infant they would remake formula for babies for the day. Once it was warm they had 1 hour to drink it

If she’s not sick then don’t stress her.  Just keep the bottles refrigerated in the future and warm them for feeding.

Did you read the fan of formula cause mine says it’s good until 2 hours after being made and it can sit in the fridge for 24 hours and be ok but if you baby isn’t throwing up or acting sick she’s fine and I do this as well with my baby 🤷🏼‍♀️ like when she wakes up for her feedings I will make another bottle to have ready for when she wakes up again and the milk never seems bad and she never gets sick but I also never let it sit long than 2 hours

Don’t beat yourself up momma!! It’s ok! I premake it and leave it in the fridge for overnight feeding then just warm it up when she’s ready, however it does take 4 minutes to heat so if baby gets impatient quickly it may be easier to pre pour water in the bottle and keep a formula dispenser within reach so you just have to dump it and shake it up

I buy purified bottles of water and take a few to my room. I fill the amount of   baby’s bottles with water (3-4) and  I have a formula dispenser with the amount I need in each compartment. They sell those formula dispensers with 3-4 compartments for like $2.99 at Ross/TJMaxx, & Amazon. I seen a 3 compartment one at target for $3.70. 
If she isn’t displaying any illness she should be fine. If she gets really bad diarrhea and or vomiting, you should take her to the dr.

They are only good for 1 hour after baby has drunk off the bottle. Something about the growth of bacteria. But I'm sure baby is fine

She’ll be fine. Maybe you could buy a small fridge to keep in your room or just pre make the bottles and put them in the fridge to grab overnight!
