Can't recommend it strongly enough!!!!
Y'all!!!!! If you have iron issues, take Floradix throughout your pregnancy. If your levels are good, still take Floradix in your last month of pregnancy. My levels have been naturally pretty high with this pregnancy, thankfully. But I am two days post partum and have so little bleeding!!!
I took the two doses a day, in pill form this time. Last pregnancy my levels were ok, but on the mid to low end of normal, I took the liquid and was a little less faithful with it, and forgot I was supposed to do a second dose each day, so I only did one. I bled HEAVILY, but it was still done in about three weeks and I've always had super heavy periods so I figured that was just me.
This time, 4 weeks straight, taking one pill twice a day almost perfectly and the difference! My midwife (different one this pregnancy as we've moved since my first, first midwife recommended this for all Mama's, not just those with low iron) was shocked at how quickly I was clotting.
And, again, two days post partum and I am changing my pads out for the cold (padsicle recipe pads) and they aren't even half filled after 3-4 hours on. Last time at this point I was still leaking out when changing giant pads +padsicles on a diaper every hour or two!
Floradix. Do it. It's beyond worth it.
