Hi guys? I’m a mail carrier working for USPS. My route is all the walking. I have to walk at least 6 hours a days with all those hills and steps. I got pregnant this time doctor put me on light duty because I had a miscarriage last year. The job told me they did not have light duties for me to do. So they told me to stay home and use the FMLA leave so I can keep my job. I have been out from work since March. Now I’m 37 weeks pregnant the new manager just called this month me and said I can’t use my maternity leaves coz I haven’t been working for long time. She told me if I would work until the end I will get the maternity leaves but I couldn’t be able to deliver mail. I was so scared to lose the baby again. I felt horrible and think it is unfair!! Now I only have 6 weeks with my baby after the date of the baby born. I can’t imagine how can I be able to leave the baby with the daycare so soon. I’m so sad and already stressed out. I wish I could be with the baby for 12 weeks. Anyone has to leave the baby so soon? How do you feel? I feel I need more time to bond with my baby 1 month is not enough!!
