If my ex husbands military comander/Sargent in the army found out he committed adultry on me, AND he had left a fully loaded, bullet in chamber 9mm Taurus gun on a dresser our 2 year old daughter could reach......
What could potentially happen to him and his military affiliation? :/

As someone who went through this, I thought about the big picture. I didn’t want my ex’s career to suffer in any way because then my children would suffer. Free health insurance for my kids and reliable child support was more important to me. Often times the best revenge is just moving on with your life and being happy despite what you’ve been through.

They won’t do crap about adultery unless you have concrete proof he slept with someone else such as pictures or video with his face. 
The gun they would probably have him turn it into the MP station. If he doesn’t have it registered on base then that’s another world of problem he’ll face.

Hi im a military spouse and adultery is a BIG no no. They can lose rank, pay, etc. I have a friend whos husband took his life because he cheated and didnt want the military to find out and punish him.

Most of the time for them to go after adultery you have to have super hard evidence. Most wont even waste their time with it. Knew a spouse who had video of him moving into his side chick’s apartment who was also in the same command and all he got was a counseling chit which is less than a slap on the wrist.

I don't understand why you guys get the military involved in your marital issues. 
He cheated on you, it's shit. Leave him and heal yourself. 
Don't try and ruin his life by airing your dirty laundry. 
As for the loaded gun, you didn't think to correct him at the time? That makes you just as guilty.

I'm not entirely sure why you would want to even be bringing this up...is this a get even type thing? If it is i guarantee you it's not worth it and will damage the relationship you do have. Remember you need to be able to co parent a 2 year old. Even if he did cheat on you - he is still your child's father.
