Am I the only one?

I’m a first time mom due October 22 . I have wanted to be a mother more than anything else in this world and I’m not young, I’m 36. I wasn’t even sure it would happen for me so I was so ecstatic when I found out I was pregnant! But I am so not ready for this baby to be here! I feel like it’s such a drastic life change and I’m a little scared. I’m scared of labor, but mostly I’m scared of the newborn stage along with hormones,Recovery and loss of sleep all at once. Not to mention the financial responsibility, and just plain responsibility of bringing another human into this world. I have only heard horror stories! Am I the only one?

I feel like this. I’m due November. This baby is very much wanted and I’ve talked about being a mother my entire life. But now I’m scared of how much things will change. Just kind of scared of everything. It confuses my husband because he doesn’t understand how i can want something so bad and still be nervous about it.

Definitely not the only one, I am pregnant with my 3rd and it still scares me.
My first delivery was 74 hours with no meds or epi and the healing was a nightmare. He came out 7.14 lbs
My second was 9 hours 6 hours with meds or epi and that one was great! She was 6.11 lbs
I’m on my third and measuring a week ahead and he’s already over a lb so I am scared of the outcome!

Its normal. I'm 25 so a lot younger but my baby was planned. Im married and in every way ready. As it got closer to my due date I question if I was ready. Especially for the life changes. Sitting here holding my 5 week old son and everything will be worth it.

My baby was colicky and the first 3-3.5 months were horrible because of it.  Once the colick went away, it was fine.

I'm pregnant with my second, due October 17th. I still feel that way. I thought since this is my second and I have done it before I wouldn't have this fear at the end but i still do. It has been 8 years since i had my daughter but I thought I would feel more confident. I'm still scared of birth and managing the new born fase. Also just an over all gear of having a new human to care for and be completely responsible for. 
It took about 2 months after my first was born for the fear to go away but I did have some post partum depression.
