Ovulation tests - help

So I have been trying for my 2nd baby for just about a year and a half, I have conceive plus on the way and my first time ever buying ovulation tests.... there is only ( I think ) 7 or 8 tests in the pack but.... when would I start testing?!? I haven’t a clue? A couple days before “ ovulation “ ?
