Shouldn’t a surgical abortion be treated the same as giving birth regarding the healing period? I would think since they are going in through the cervix and scraping the uterus that there’s an increased risk of pregnancy and infection if you don’t wait to have sex.

Yes you can. Knew a girl that had a surgical abortion and thought things were fine. Maybe 5 months later she finds out she pregnant but when they do the ultrasound they find two babies but they aren't twins. Haven't figured it out yet? The abortion wasn't complete and she was now carrying two children of different ages.
