I wouldn’t stock up all the way until 12 months because you have no idea how baby will grow. Get some newborn and 0-3 to start with and then the rest you can buy later.

It's different with every single baby What I can say is make sure you have a few layette  Most people forget to get freeney or layette  As 0 to 3 month don't fit most newborns for example my son was 8 pounds 13 oz and still couldn't fit 0 to 3 month.

At 6 months my son was in 18m and my daughter in 12m. Just buy like 5-10 outfits of each month so that way you have some clothes for baby until if you wanted to go to the store and buy more.

You just can’t predict this, unfortunately. Only have a small amount of newborn stuff. If they even ever fit in those, it’s short lived. Beyond that, it just depends on your baby and how fast they grow. My son was always one size bigger than his age. 🤷🏻‍♀️
