So I’m almost 33 and have a son whose almost 2. I had a lot of difficulty getting pregnant and finally succeeded on my first round of Clomid. I had a lot of difficulties including bleeding during my pregnancy (my cervix had to be cauterized), my water broke prematurely and I failed to progress in labor and had to have an emergency c-section.

Fast forward to now we are trying again for #2. But in the past 6 months I’ve gone from very routine cycles to erratic ones. Also right around the time of ovulation I get super intense back and lower stomach/pelvic pain, it’s almost like contractions it so much pressure. And my lower abdomen is very tender to the touch. Usually this lasts a day or two then it goes away. My cycles have always been heavy but none of my GYNs have ever felt it was an issue. I usually have 5-7 day cycles and have to wear a tampon and a pad together on days 2-4. Also while pregnant my OB never mentioned feeling anything abnormal, except for a “growth” (I forget what she called it) on my cervix which she said was normal 🤷‍♀️

I love my OB/GYN but her office is terrible and I’ve tried multiple times to schedule the US she wants me to have but it never seems to work out.

So while I wait for them to get it together I thought I’d ask here. I’ve done a lot of research and fibroids seem like a very likely cause, except no where have I read that the symptoms get worse during ovulation.

Has anyone else been diagnosed with fibroids? What were your symptoms? And how do you alleviate them??
