My birth story! **LONG POST**

Emily

I havent updated on here in SO LONG, yall! But i gotta tell the world, even though its been a MONTH AGO TODAY that i had my beautiful baby girl ❤️

I went into the hospital to be induced Wed. July 10 @ 2am, and my due date was the 7th! (I had only progressed from 36/37ish weeks when my cervix was closed, to only being a 0.5cm at 40+1!!) I got hooked up to all my medicines and everything through IV, except taking a Cytotec pill to soften my cervix every 3ish hours 🤷🏻‍♀️ By the evening rolled around, STILL NO BABY! So they told me they'd start my Pitocin at 1am the next morning (July 11). After they started my Pitocin, contractions slowly got harder and harder. By 8:15am, i had STILL only progressed to 1cm, but my doctor could break my water, so she did. After maybe an hour or 2 of having really hard contractions, i asked for Stadol, & i was roughly 2/2.5cm. Another hour went by (and was dialated to about 4cm) & i COULDNT take the contractions anymore, so i got my epidural! And at around 3pm, i started pushing 😬 i pushed for an hour until my baby girl came at 4:00pm! 💖

Samantha Grace Phillips!

Born @ 4:00pm, July 11, 2019 (40 weeks + 4 days!)

Skip to now: she turned 1 month old today!

Me and my husband are about to get divorced hopefully within the next month or 2. I posted the story on here (i think) a couple months ago: we got married in Sept 2018, found out i was pregnant in November, and in March we argued so much that we could barely stand to be around each other. We separated with the intention of getting back together for our family, but only a week or 2 after we separated, i found out he had been cheating on me with an underage girl. 🤷🏻‍♀️ He only has seen baby girl once since the whole month she has been born (when i was in the hospital, and only stayed an hour then made an excuse to leave). Has not asked to come see her, and has only tried to be an a**hole to me. But now, im slowly getting back into dating, but nothing serious until my divorce is finalized. And of course, my baby girl's well-being and safety are my #1 priority!!

My pumpkin pie also starts daycare tomorrow 😩 and i go back to work next week! I'm sad but i have to do what i have to do to support me and my baby girl, since im a single mom for now 🤷🏻‍♀️
