Should I be insecure?

Im 20 years old and have had psoriasis on my scalp for quite some time. My mothers always cut my hair but now its time to actually find a salon to go to. Why do I feel so insecure about going? Is it a bad thing to feel insecure about??

It’s definitely okay to feel insecure about it. I had bad psoriasis break out on both of my legs & since I wouldn’t stop scratching it, a lot of liquid would come out. I didn’t wear shorts or dresses for months and it sucked cause it was Summer time. There’s no “should” about it, it’s just the fact that you do & it’s understandable. Maybe if you try explaining that to the person cutting your hair before they do, then it’ll help you ease into the haircut. The whole idea behind it is that you’re being open about it
