Wisdom Teeth Removal?
I’m having my wisdom teeth removed Friday and I’m actually panicking. If anyone has the time, can you explain to me what exactly it is I should expect?
Update: Since I’m getting asked specific questions (which I definitely do appreciate) I’ll add a bit more information.
They’re impacted but I noticed today that my gums are sore on the bottom left side. Like that feeling you used to get when you were a kid and a permanent tooth was coming. Also, the doctor doesn’t want to give me antibiotics or pain medicine of any kind. Which is actually awful because if I get a hole in my body deep enough to need a band aid it gets infected horribly. Every time, since I was a kid. But since I’ve never been diagnosed or tested for an autoimmune disorder they don’t want to give me any. I’m also 20 years old working at a mechanic shop so they don’t want to listen to me about medical decisions. The pain medicine I suppose I can live without but I have a hiatal hernia so I can’t take ibuprofen or anything related to it so that is going to suck. But I’ve never had any issues with drug abuse so it seems a little ridiculous to me that he’s refusing it? He also said I wouldn’t be put to sleep, I’ll just be “heavily sedated” and that I might remember some of it but nothing “that will mean anything” to me? Like, what? The whole thing seems ridiculous but I looked him up and there’s nothing awful to see so I’m not sure. I’m so scared. I don’t think this is right. That’s why I’m posting it here, hoping someone has had a similar experience
