I was telling my boyfriend over text last night about how a meteor shower would be happening and that we should go see it and have a picnic while we’re at it to celebrate our 6 month anni. He just said it sounds cool and left it at that. What makes me mad is that he didn’t respond to me asking me out and two days prior, he asked me if I was free monday(which is today and also our 6 month ani) and if I wanted to hang out with him. This is probably the 3rd time where he’s forgotten that he’s asked me out and doesn’t plan out. I don’t want to be the one to remind him because if he truly loves me like he says he does, he would own up to it? I know he’s not the one to do this intentionally and we’re only human and we’re bound to be forgetful, but this is happening too often. Just my take on things. I don’t know how to confront him about it because it’s a bit embarrassing to be led on and get my hopes up.

Edit: I’m always the one coming up with plans and when we see eachother, whereas he never asks me out. He’ll ask me what I always want to do and will ask me first if I’m free on XYZ but never comes up with any plans, usually boils down to me suggesting ideas. If he’s going to ask me out first, he should be the one to take action.
