Jinxing it?

Ok so last week I fainted at the bus I was 15 weeks pregnant and my grandma told my mom to tell me not to buy my baby boy things just yet because of “jinxing it” is it old wives tales? I think it’s stupid but got me scared. I haven’t bought anything for my baby boy except cute little shoes and onesie for the announcement photo. But one of my moms friends did get me more clothes for baby she said to give it back to her and she could give it to me later on lol ..... opinions??? I am now 17 weeks and soooo ready to buy more baby stuff but idk 😐 if I should wait longer ugh
