Breast pump advice?

I am wanting to get a breast pump but I don't want to pay more than $100 on one. I'm a first time mum and not sure what is better ect. I have found a couple. Any advice for me ladies?

I just switched OBGYNs and had my first appt with the new OBGYN today and asked her about a suggestion and she recommended the medella (it was in the previous comment). She said a lot of times insurance will cover it and sometimes all they want is a prescription for it. It ranges from $125-250 but it's electric and told me that manual will be a pain at night.

Your insurance might cover it! Check with them first , call the customer service provider..

You don't want a manual! It takes so long and you have to be hands free to use them. The good quality elec ones will stay on and let you have hands free to do whatever. I personally recommend Ameda and Medela but they're a little pricey - well worth it in my opinion! I could pump in the car with the Ameda using batteries - a lifesaver for long trips when I can't just breastfeed without pulling over.

Are you in the US or the UK? In the US, most insurances will cover the cost of a breast pump.

In the US it's supposed to be a law that you get a free breast pump..forgot what it's called..but you can call your insurance and find out how to get it :)
