I can't :/ have had 5 miscarriages and no successful pregnancies yet so probably would not work out. If I can have a healthy pregnancy, still doing tests, I will have to do shots every day with blood thinners, take special (expensive) medication, and use progesterone. Even then they say that they won't let me get to full term and I will have to be induced early because I would be very high risk

You should have asked “WOULD you ever get a surrogate”. I totally would have considered it had I not been able to have my daughters. I was even looking into adopting before I met my husband (but hard as a single parent). I was open to all forms of having a child, and still think we may foster when ours are older!

I really want children, but I do not want to get pregnant for a few different reasons.
1) There are some terrible, terrible diseases that run in my family. I couldn’t live with myself if I purposefully got pregnant knowing that I’m passing those genetics along.
2) I’m on mood stabilizers, and would have to go off them if I were pregnant. It wouldn’t be safe to go off them.
3) My reproductive health isn’t really equipped for a safe pregnancy.
It makes me sad that I have to make this decision before I even have a partner, but that’s the way it is. I do want kids, and I’ll most likely adopt. Unless my partner wants to get pregnant, in which we’ll have to get a donor.
