Is it ACTUALLY bad to wake a napping baby?
I work from home and have a nanny for my 3mo son. He generally naps 90-120 minutes at a time. Nanny just got back from vacation, and I noticed it’s been very quiet. He’s been sleeping almost 3 hours and I said if he doesn’t wake soon please wake and feed him in 30 minutes.
She flat out refused and said it’s bad for him to wake him up and it will really mess him up “but you can if you want...(yea, obviously bc he’s my fucking kid!). She’s sitting there watching tv and I feel like she’s just being lazy.
He hasn’t eaten in 4.5 hours already. I’ve been searching and searching for sleep and nap advice online and pretty much everything says napping too little OR TOO MUCH is bad. He’s been sleeping 8-9 hours at night and I don’t want him to regress bc this 25yo that doesn’t have kids thinks she knows best 🤷🏻♀️.
And she keeps referring to him as a newborn, which he’s really not imo. And she said you shouldn’t wake a newborn which is even more wrong bc they should be woken to feed even more right? Help, please link to any articles you know that back up her opinions!
