Coming from a photographer, I would say it might be the sensor along with the shutter. The camera is also 13 years old & depending on how much it’s been used it’s probably work out! Also using a kit lens on top of that problem, may make it worse! I would suggest sending it in for servicing so someone can take a look at it, or investing in a new camera ❤️❤️ good luck
