Lexapro during third trimester?

I’ve struggled with depression and anxiety for quite some time now and I’ve never been on medication. I’ve been to therapist after therapist and it doesn’t really help. Today i saw a Psychiatrist and she prescribed me Lexapro. I’m wondering if anyone has any experience with this? She said there is a small chance for the baby to develop mild withdrawal symptoms after birth that can last anywhere from a few hours to a few days. I asked how it would impact her temperament and she said if I continue to feel the way I do and don’t treat, it could actually be more impactful to my baby than I if I went on meds. I’ve tried researching at home tonight and I’m not finding a lot of great supportive info. There is lots out there saying it hasn’t really been tested, some articles say it’s not safe, especially during the third trimester as it can cause preterm labor, irritability in baby, among others. some say Mother’s/babies/children showed significant improvement from the mom being on it. I’m so torn I don’t know what to do! I’m not the mother I thought I would be and I so badly want to feel better. I’m just so nervous to take something and impact my baby. I’ll be 28 weeks on Friday, if that helps. I know the Psychiatrist is a doctor, so, she wouldn’t prescribe something that would harm her, right? Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you!
