Hi guys, I hope you can help me. I’m diagnosed with PCOS so my body doesn’t regularly have a period. But I’ve been on Nexplanon for 2 years and the nurse said the implant will stop or shorten my periods but it’s just made it worse. ( for someone who doesn’t get them, this is a nightmare) Since having my implant in all I have had is brown stuff for majority of the months then one full week of a proper period. Well now I’m Into year 2 and since May(when I got it fitted) I’m having the worst time.

I’m having a heavy and long period every week! Bleeding constantly for 6/7 days. I’ve been tracking it on here and it’s literally I have 3-5 days in between before I’m bleeding again.

Has this happened to anyone? I’m thinking about taking it out because it’s just so annoying, I’m speaking to my GP nurse on 27th August (earliest date available) but if she can help me out I’m just going to book to get it out. I’ve loved having the implant but the bleeding is so uncontrollable... do you think it’s my PCOS that’s causing it?

I have added a photo of the months where I remember to keep check.. this is literally the start of the year to right now... it’s not right is it? Surely I wouldn’t stop having a period and it would just go all the way through??
