Tons of people are telling me that lo still needs night feedings at 6 months but pediatrician said that's not true. Which one is it and why? I

I'm trying to sleep train because I created bad habits and let my baby sleep with me and nurse herself to sleep. Help!

If baby wakes for a feeding then of course feed baby BUT if baby sleeps through the night I wouldn’t wake them.

I am 35 - sometimes I wake in the night if I’m stressed, hot, cold, thirsty or need the toilet.
How can a doctor say your baby shouldn’t wake?
My 11 month old usually wakes once and at six months she was waking every couple of hours, it’s perfectly normal

If your baby wakes up to eat then they are hungry. I would feed your baby. It’s not a bad habit. 🥰

Oh and idk if anyone has said this but your nursing baby back to sleep was definitely not a bad habit. It’s great for bonding and lots of other things 😊 so you did great 👍🏻

Update: Thank you so much for clarifying everything for me this is why I asked. I was very confused when my doctor said my baby would be fine without eating during the night it just did not make sense to me so I needed to do some extra research. I know my child and I know she still needs to eat in the middle of the night. Maybe he meant I didn't need to wake her to feed anymore? Idk but anyway everything makes so much sense now 💗💗💗

If your baby wakes up hungry during the middle of the night feed him. 👍🏻 Don't put him back to sleep hungry.

It depends. I think it's a developmental thing and baby will drop it when they are ready.

My baby slept through the night after the first two months, if they wake up, feed them. If not, they’re fine lol.
