I have a contradicting opinion on this if they were 30 and 36 no problem but at 18 you’re such a different person then who you will be at 24 so I personally believe at 18 you shouldn’t date someone that much older but again if you were 30 and they were 36 then it’s no problem as you both have fully developed brains But to each there own! Not saying it’s horrible but just not something I would want knowing I’m not even close to the same person I was at 18 and neither are any of my friends

Wrong? I guess not. As someone who is 24, it’s certainly not something I would be interested in. I don’t want to be with a high schooler

I was an 18 year old dating a 24 year old. Now looking back at it, it was wrong. He likes younger girls and I mean to the point of barely being legal. Now I feel as though there’s probably a reason a guy isn’t dating someone his age, the women at that age don’t wanna deal with his bull. An 18 year old is more likely to put up with it (like I did). You are worlds apart when it comes to the mind so you’re better off dating someone you’re own age and growing with them.

I met my partner at 19, while he was 24. Now I’m almost 21, and he’s almost 26. He pursued me because he thought I looked 23 and when he finally asked and found out my age he was so shocked he’s like I’m dating a baby! It bothered him for a little while but I had a rough childhood and mentally I matured at a very young age and he saw that I was way more mature than most the women his age and therefore kept seeing me and has fallen head over heels. We’re going through a very rough patch right now, so I guess we’ll see what happens 🙈🙈 age gaps all depend on the maturity level of an individual, some people mature quicker than others, and therefore big age gaps tend to work out, whereas others set themselves up for disaster.

i think it’s fine lol i was 16 when i met my fiancé (technically husband) who was 23 we’ve been together 4 years, have our own home, business, and working on starting a family. but when i was 16 i didn’t have the same mindset as everyone else. i matured when i was 13 & was paying my own bills, feeding myself, and finding my own places to sleep/rent/stay. working under the table until i was 15. with no family and no support whatsoever i made it work & that was something my lover really liked about me. i was independent and mature. females around his age were too worried about being sluts & not settling down. irresponsible and submerged in drama.

I was 18 when I met my boyfriend and he was 30 at the time and we used to get weird looks all the time cause I had such a baby face & I still do now but I didn’t care cause I was happy being with him. His friends used to joke around cause of my age and I was to young and some will get jealous that he “had game” to be with someone my age. I am 21 now and he is 32 we still get a few weird looks but when we do I kiss him and hug him just to fuck with people back 🤣🤣

18 is the legal age, 6 years isn’t a HUGE difference. The only thing that would make this wrong, is if it was the wrong couple🤷🏻♀️ I met my husband at 18 when he was 24, we didn’t start dating until I was 20 and he was 26, but I sure liked/loved him those 2 years waiting for him😁 Now we’re 22 and 28, married and expecting our twins!

No but there are challenges. I was 19 when I met my husband (he was 26.) We almost didn't date because of the age difference and because he felt like I was too young - of course at that age I didn't think that at 19. Looking back though I was to young and put our relationship through a lot of shit BUT I am so happy he stuck with me and we have the happiest, honest relationship. I had to sacrifice some of young party days and "growing up moments" and he had to have extreme maturity and patience. At the end of the day it was all worth it tho.
