Calling all ARMY wives

My husband is thinking about joining the army (we live in the U.S) and we are trying to get more information. We spoke to a recruiting officer, but we want to make sure he wasn’t just trying to “sell” my husband on the idea of joining. He is considering active duty.

Some questions:

-Will he have days off? Usually how many?

-Will he get to come home every night? When we are living near base.

-Is the pay enough for a family of 3? I’m pregnant but will have our baby once he enlists.

-Any other things I should know/be aware of?

Anyone that have a husband that is in the aviation program through the army? Can you tell me the process? That is the area that my husband is looking to get into.
