So I haven’t had a PAP done since before my son was born and he’s 3 1/2. So today at my dr they were like we are gonna do your pap today. I was also doing an early glucose because I am overweight. The chick gave me my drink towards the beginning of my appointment so I didn’t have to stay long after my appointment to have my blood drawn. I then talked to her for another 20min before going to the exam room. I was told to strip down and wrap myself in the paper gown and paper sheet thing. Once wrapped up I sat in the room for like 20min just waiting on the dr. Then a social worker came in and I talked to her for like 10 min. It’s now been 50 min since I drank that crap and I’m sitting naked wrapped in paper and my dr comes in. I seen this one 4weeks ago after my ultrasound and she asked me today if I had an ultrasound. I said yes but it was 4weeks ago. She said wait right here (like I’m gonna run streaking through the halls wrapped in paper) I’m gonna go see something. When I hear her coming back I also hear the lady that is supposed to draw my blood. She said I need her soon and my dr says well she’s not dressed. I can have her to you in like 4 min.

Now I’m sitting there like dammitnow I’m gonna have to get dressed then go get stuck with a needle come back get undressed and then “violated”. My dr comes in says ur gonna be fast. Now I’m thinking what the hell. She said slide your but to the edge and as soon as I did,in one motion, she slid the end of the table out,propping my legs up, inserted the thing snapped it open swabbed closed the long and pulled it out. Literally a three second PAP.

I was then told I was good to go just needed to have my blood drawn. As I’m getting my blood drawn I realize I didn’t get to hear the heartbeat for the second time. Before my blood draw was done a nurse came and got me because the dr remembered as well. So glad I finally got to hear the heartbeat. Def took some of the worry away.
