Is LH supposed to increase as its approaching the day you’re supposed to start AF??

Question

Have been testing OPK’s and HPT’s since 7/8DPO. HPT’s keep giving me the same faintest line EVER! (not an evap - if i take the test with water there is no 2nd line) Been feeling very pregnant too, just like my first pregnancy. 
To my surprise, the OPK’s are definitly getting darker. For example, the test I just took (11 PM) is clearly darker than the one I took this morning. I’m around 11/12dpo now
Does LH increase approaching AF with every cycle?

You can get a blazing positive with a pregnancy on an LH strip. However, you also get a positive ish LH before your period. Can be either. Do you have pics of the HPTS?

I have gotten very dark OPKs (near positives) on my period but never before. I am on birth control and I know that drastically affects LH. But even for woman who aren’t on birth control you can get positive or near positive OPKs on your period.
