When can you schedule an elective induction? Like how far in advance have you been able to and for what week? 37/38 weeks? What’s the best? And share your induction stories

Pretty sure they won’t induce you until you’re past your due date or have a medical reason to. What’s the rush?

i was 35 weeks when i got scheduled to be induced at 39 weeks so a few weeks ahead!
this comes with a twist because i am diabetic so at my next and last growth scan (37 weeks) i will be finding out how big the baby is and if my drs agree with me trying vaginally then. the deciding factor will be baby’s weight and especially shoulders 😨
if baby is too big, induction is out of the window and i will be having a c section.
